Speak Up!

Avon expects all Associates to report actual or potential violations of the law or the Code of Conduct. Failure to report a violation of the law or the Code of Conduct is itself a violation of the Code of Conduct and may result in disciplinary action, including possible termination of employment. Anyone who receives a report of violation has an obligation to report it to the Avon Integrity Helpline, the Global Ethics & Compliance Committee or our Global Investigations team.

Reports and allegations will be professionally and promptly investigated by our internationally based Global Investigations Team.

Confidential Reporting

Avon maintains multiple channels for reporting suspected violations of the law and the Code of Conduct.

The Avon Integrity Helpline is an independently operated, user-friendly, telephone and web-based resource that provides a confidential (and if requested anonymous) way for Associates to ask questions and report concerns. It is available 24-hours-a-day, 7-days-a-week. Interpreters who speak more than 100 languages are available. The Integrity Helpline is regularly promoted to Associates on internal intranet sites, in-person and online training courses, and other communications vehicles including wallet cards, brochures and posters.

Associates may also report possible violations directly to:

  • Any member of the Global Ethics & Compliance Committee;
  • Any member of the Executive Committee;
  • The Associate’s immediate manager;
  • Any member of the appropriate Office of Regional Counsel;
  • Any other member of Legal;
  • Any member of Human Resources; or
  • The Audit Committee, concerning accounting, internal financial controls, auditing matters or related issues.

No Tolerance for Improper Conduct or Taking Liberties

Avon does not permit violations of the law or the Code of Conduct and will take immediate action to prevent violations. Those actions include termination of employment and withholding of bonuses.

Avon's incentive plans and programs require compliance with the law and the Code of Conduct as a condition of participation and receiving an award. Avon allows for recoupment of incentive compensation for violations of the law or serious violations of Avon’s Code of Conduct within the scope of employment.

In response to violations of the law or serious violations of the Code of Conduct by Associates, in 2016, the Company took disciplinary measures in 51 cases that resulted in termination of employment and/or, for Vice Presidents and above, forfeiture or recoupment of incentive compensation. The reasons for these disciplinary actions include, but are not limited to, violation of Avon policies and procedures, falsification of documents, improper use of Avon assets, theft, conflicts of interest and discrimination.

Non-Retaliation Policy

Avon fosters an open and honest environment that permits Associates to report misconduct and raise ethical concerns without fear of retaliation. Avon will not tolerate retaliation for asking questions or reporting violations. Anyone who experiences retaliation should promptly report such behavior. Anyone engaged in retaliation will be subject to disciplinary action, including possible termination of employment.
